Democrats playing ‘gaslighting’ on America

By Miranda Devine October 7, 2020 | 10:51pm

Who knows what wrong doing will be revealed in the treasure trove of documents the president ordered declassified this week.

It will take time to sift through evidence about what he calls the “single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax.”

But whatever it is, chances are that the Democrats already will have accused their enemies of committing the very same crime.

This is the psychological art of projection and it is their favorite political weapon. Projecting your guilt onto your opponent is “the cleverest trick in propaganda,” as Hitler’s minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, once described it in 1934.

So it is no surprise that one of the most recent documents declassified by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe shows that the only candidate who used Russian disinformation in the 2016 campaign was not Donald Trump but Hillary Clinton, who has shouted loudest and longest that the president is a Russian agent.

Handwritten notes from then-CIA Director John Brennan shed light on US intelligence from late July 2016 of Russian claims that Clinton personally had approved a plan to “stir up a scandal” against Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin in order to distract from her use of a private e-mail server. Brennan’s notes suggest he told President Barack Obama all about the plot.

Looks like Russia collusion wasn’t a hoax, after all. But the FBI targeted the victims while allowing the culprits off scot free.

This probably is the worst case of Democratic projection in history. But it prompts a roundup of other notable instances when Democrats shifted their own wrongdoing, thought crimes and malign motivations onto their opponents.

Take their latest attack line on the president, that his brain is addled from coronavirus treatments. That’s a rich projection from a party whose candidate is famously cognitively impaired.

Of course, the odd memory lapse doesn’t stop Joe Biden and his speechwriters from engaging in blatant projection. In fact, it probably helps.

Take Biden’s claim that his campaign represents the working-class people of Scranton, Pa., versus Trump’s billionaire elites: “All that Trump can see from Park Avenue is Wall Street.”

Please. Biden’s campaign is well-funded by the fabulously wealthy, especially Big Tech oligarchs.

According to a report in Wired this week, almost 95 percent of donations from employees working at Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Oracle went to Biden: $5 million compared to $250,000 for Trump.

And Wall Street has lavished eight times more cash on Biden than Trump, according to Breitbart.com, with donors living on Park Avenue giving Biden more than $1 million but just $127,000 to Trump.

The most egregious case of projection came this week with Michelle Obama’s race-baiting video for Biden’s campaign.

She accused “racist” Trump of “whipping up violence and intimidation [and] pinning it all on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity. It’s true! Research backs it up. Only a tiny fraction of demonstrations have had any violence at all.”

Why are networks afraid to let voters ask Joe Biden some tough questions?

Whom is she trying to fool? That’s like saying “I only put a tiny fraction of arsenic in your glass of water.”

We have seen countless videos of the “violence and intimidation” of BLM-Antifa Marxist mobs rampaging across America all summer. We’ve seen them throw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police and scream obscenities in their faces. We’ve seen them kick people in the head when they’re down. We’ve seen them stop traffic and pull motorists out of cars. We’ve seen them deface property, loot stores, pull down statues, burn buildings and firebomb police stations.

Obama didn’t condemn BLM-Antifa in her video. She pretended it didn’t exist.

She then had the hide to accuse the president of “gaslighting the American people,” that is, making them question their own perceptions of violence on the streets.

Talk about projection. Her entire video is an exercise in gaslighting. She used her popularity and reputation as former first lady to flip reality on its head.

It is the Democrats and their allies on the radical left who have been “whipping up violence and intimidation” and then trying to project blame onto some mythical entity, in this case “heavily armed militias.”

Biden indulged in the identical projection the same day in a speech in Gettysburg, Pa. He mentioned “examples of violence and looting and burning that cannot be tolerated,” which he blamed on “extremist white supremacist groups menacing our communities.”

What the hell is he talking about? The groups menacing our communities, marching into suburbs with megaphones and tipping over tables in restaurants are the Democratic proxies of BLM-Antifa. Everyone knows that.

Biden is projecting blame away from his allies in the hope that some people will start doubting their own perception of reality, and the media generally backs him up.

The former VP also projected his own unsavory racial history onto the president, dredging up the old Charlottesville lie that Trump is a racist who praised “Neo-Nazis, white supremacists and the KKK coming out of the fields with torches lit.”

Yet Biden is the guy who really did praise the man he called his “friend” and “mentor” in Congress, former Ku Klux Klan “Exalted Cyclops” Robert Byrd.

So next time you hear Biden and friends accuse the president of some dastardly deed, chances are it’s a sin they themselves have committed.

Kamala Harris Exposed

Steve Baldwin, FORMER CONGRESSMAN,
Exposes Kamala Harris:

“I watched an interview with her. She is attractive, animated, and
absurd. She stated that she never had children; yet was a “Mother
to her husband’s children.” And she “loved being a Mother.”
She led her audience to believe that she mothered these kids. She
married her husband when the son was leaving college and the daughter was in high school. They lived with their biological Mother. So
for Motherhood.

I do remember Kamala Harris when I was in Congress in California. I
had just been elected to the State Assembly in 1994 and, at that
time, the ultimate “power broker” that controlled every aspect of
California’s state government was the Speaker of the House, Willie
Brown. He ran Sacramento like it was his own personal fiefdom and
handed out jobs to loyalists and fired people who were disloyal. He
broke every ethical law in the book, but was never held to account by
anyone because he was black and they were afraid to call him out for
fear of being labeled “racist”. He was married, but openly had mistresses which he showed off by bringing her to public events.

At the time I arrived in Sacramento, Willie’s mistress was a young girl
who was in her late 20’s. Her name was Kamala Harris. He was in his 60’s. Willie showered her with gifts and appointed her to a number of State government jobs. Willie launched her political
career as the centerpiece of  his nepotism program. The idea
that she is an “independent” woman who worked her way up the
political ladder because she worked hard is baloney. It is common
knowledge in California that Kamala slept her way to the top.

And now she is running for VP with a man who will be unable to govern due to his lack of mental clarity.

In essence, she will function as the President of the United States
should the Biden/Harris ticket prevail this November.
Her
views on guns, taxes, immigration, energy, etc. are far to the left
of the average America
,
but you watch the media ignore these positions. She is already
modulating her position on the rioters and looters to appear more
moderate than she has been in the past. She believes illegal aliens should qualify for ALL government services,
including voting, education, welfare benefits, health care, you name
it. In other words, she believes there should be no difference between a citizen and a non-citizen.

That view alone will cost our already bankrupt nation trillions of dollars and insure a socialist welfare state in perpetuity.
She has supported and encouraged the rioters and looters of BLM
from the beginning and has raised money to bail them out when they
are caught, convicted and jailed. Her view of the constitution is
bizarre and dangerous and she is willing to enact laws restricting
our 2nd Amendment rights even if such laws violate our constitution. She will be the most radical person to run for VP in American history,
but you won’t see any of this on the news. You will soon witness a
massive campaign by the media to deceive you about who she is and
what she believes and make her look far more moderate than she is to
appeal to less radical Democrats. Don’t fall for it.” A vote
for Joe Biden is a vote for a soon-to-be president more radical, more
corrupt, more devious, and more of a lying chameleon than Hillary.

What I’m voting for…

In just two months, it will be over.  The U.S. presidential election, I mean. Not the end of the world.  But maybe the end of our nation, as we have known it.  No I will not be voting for Biden…. I am not voting for a man.  I am not rallying for a personality.  I am not pushing a person.  At this point, I am voting for one thing and one thing only.  I am voting for the principles for which this country has stood since its founding.  I am voting for Constitutional government.  I am voting for a strong and viable military.  I am voting for a vibrant economy.  I am voting for the right to keep and bear arms.  I am voting for the freedom to worship.  I am voting for a national recognition of the founding of our nation on Biblical principles.  I am voting for the ability for anyone to rise above their circumstances and become successful.

I am voting for my children and grandchildren to be able to choose their own path in life, including how and where their children are educated.  I am voting for our borders to be open to everyone who enters under our law and closed to everyone who would circumvent or ignore the law.

I am voting for the Electoral College to remain in place, so that a few heavily populated liberal centers do not control the elections. I am voting for a Supreme Court that interprets the Constitution rather than rewrites it.  I am voting to teach history, with all of its warts, not erase it or revise it.  I am voting for the sanctity of life from conception to birth and after.

Now, there are some things I am voting against. I am voting against open borders.  I am voting against a rampant welfare system that enslaves it’s recipients.  I am voting against socialism, in all of its forms, including health care, redistribution, reparations, economics, governmental control, pedophilia, and criminal releases, etc.  I would rather pay for prison reform then see the criminals released to repeatedly commit the same crimes!

So, although I don’t give blanket approval to everything our President has done or said in the past, I do support him as our president!  I am not voting against Joe Biden, but I am voting against everything that the party backing him and propping him up stands for.  It is not the Democratic Party of the past.

Two months is all we have.
