2023 Membership Message
This past mid-term election was one of great victories and a few disappointing losses. The Republicans have taken the House of Representatives with 221 members. Locally, the entire Kent County Commission’s winning candidates are all Republicans. Andy Harris won overwhelmingly in his district, although not in Kent County. Nationally, the Republicans won the popular vote by 5 million, indicating a major swing to Republicans since 2020.
This continues to be the most critical time for our nation and our personal rights. To effectively destroy the leftist agenda, we must remain active! In addition to talking to our family & friends, we must convince disillusioned Democrats as well as independents to vote Republican in 2024. We can do this, but it will take all of us with all our determination!
In our new Republican Headquarters—funded by members like you—we provide a foundational space to encourage public interest, provide valuable information on the party’s beliefs, provide assistance with voter registration and party changes, while having a place for fellow Republicans to meet and organize. It’s located across from Fountain Park in downtown Chestertown, providing maximum public exposure. Please come visit on the first Saturday of each month.
There are 5500 registered Republicans in Kent County; there are just 200 members of the ROK. New members are essential to our common cause, as strength in numbers will make us more productive, effective and give us all a sense of community and support. We encourage all members to actively approach and invite possible new members to our group, especially those in the age group of 18 to 30, who are critical to the future of the party and our country.
We will continue sending emails to our membership with invitations to many more events, while also offering relevant news regarding current legislation and ways to forward the party agenda. The ROK will continue working with the Central Committee in promoting Republican Party values of freedom, national security and a thriving economy.

- Volunteer whenever you can and write op-eds in local media.
- Help fund our HEADQUARTERS with your membership dues and donations!
- Attend ROK events for fellowship, fun and support.
- Talk to your family and friends and encourage others to support the pro-American Republican Party.
